Last Thursday, I took the train up to Salinas and helped Brian and Kelly move. Friday afternoon, we were off to Northstar in Lake Tahoe. On the way, we picked up their airstream that they were camping in. I rode mostly Karpiel and Livewire Saturday. First run down Karpiel, I cleaned the sketchy chute after the field on the lower part and the rest of the trail. I screwed up there like 5 times after and didn't feel like doing the race the next day because of my crap riding. Livewire was another story... I was actually riding it well.

Saturday, I rode a trail or two before shooting the race. I hit the wallrides on my way down to the parking lot to get my backpack. The second one didn't go too well. I went fast and high... at my peak height, my tire lost contact with the wall and 8' down I went. I scraped up my side a bit, but still rode Mineshaft down. I was still shaking at the parking lot.. haha. I got my backpack and headed up the lifts. Then went down some trails and roads to get to the Lower Karpiel area where I walked down to Vietnam. I ended up not racing so I was able to shoot the Pro and Expert race, instead of just practice. After that, I did a few runs on Livewire before we headed back to the parking lot. On the way out, we had ate at 50 50 Brewing Company. Yesterday afternoon, I got home.
