photo by PBmedia If the Mayans were really on to something, I think it was about our snow season. I wanted to be shooting in Mammoth around December, but I didn't get out there until April due the lack-of-snow issues. I had high hopes for Colorado to get some good snow when I went for SIA and stayed with friends for a few weeks. I didn't shoot as much street I had hope for, but I did some backcountry stuff and rode snowmobiles for the first time. Despite all the challenges this season brought, we managed to get some good shots and didn't shoot park the whole time. Look out for some published shots from this season in the near future. Thanks to everyone I shot, rode with and stayed with in CO and Mammoth for the good times! Hopefully we can go bigger next season!

SIA Arnette Party

The only official SIA party I made it to was Arnette's first event of the Brain Freeze Tour with DJ Matty Mo, Bukue One and Del The Funky Homosapien at Benders Tavern in downtown Denver. Arnette put on the Brain Freeze Tour to celebrate the re-launch of a goggle line with a new team of riders.

I got to the show a bit early. When I got there, they were doing Karaoke with many of the songs being 80's Glam Rock balads. Soon, a bunch of people started to show up and I realized the show was in the other room... When I got in there, DJ Matty Mo was putting together some beats. Soon, Bukue One was on, followed by Del. They all killed it. The second show will be on February 10 in Mammoth and the last, in Whistler on March 12.

For audio, you'll have to go to a show. More info: http://www.arnette.com/blog/brain-freeze-del-sia/

Last Wednesday, I flew to Denver for SIA. From Thursday to Sunday, I went to the show to check out new products and meet a lot of people. Between going to the show every day (except for an afternoon trip to Boulder) and partying each night, the weekend has become a blur.

Sunday night, I left with some friends to stay in Salt Lake City for a bit to get some shots and do some riding. Today, I rode Utah powder for the first time. I went with two friends to Canyons Resort. We we got to the parking lot, it was 0 degrees Fahrenheit... After spraying my self several times with the crazy light powder, the hair on my face froze. It was damn cold, but so worth it. Next time I'm bringing something to cover my face.

photo by PBmedia 2 weeks ago, I flew to Denver wednesday and arrived at midnight. After getting off and searching for a while before getting to the pickup area, I met Zach Griffith. We loaded my bike and bags and went to his house for the night. In the morning, we were off to Sol Vista at Granby ranch for the mountain bike national championships. I covered the race for ridemonkey.com where can you read and see photos of the weekend: Days 1 & 2 and Days 3 & 4.
