If you didn't see the March issue of Mountain Bike Action, here's some of my shots in it from the night race at Fontana a few months ago. The three lower ones on the first page and the right one on the second are mine. Click them to see them bigger. Here's the gallery with all the shots from that race: Fontana Night Race

Two months ago, I got my bmx bike re-finished after it had been stolen for 2 weeks and ghetto'ed out in Santa Barbara. I guess I should have expected it, being made by Stolen Bike Co.

"Thirty-seven'ish hours later, I arrived in Santa Barbara. My friend Adrian picked me up and we went to get some Chinese food at a really good hole-in-the-wall place. He waited in the truck while I was waiting for the food. Then, he come over to me and said he found my bmx bike that had been stolen right before I left for Whistler. It was across the street, under the stairs at a small apartment/triplex. He said a sketchy gangster kid rode up on it. I didn't want to get my ass kicked by some 15 year old gangsters, so I ended up calling the cops. One car came, then another (3 or 4 cops)."

The Good Son

A few weeks ago I shot my friend, Christian Lopez's motorcycle. The bike started life as a Harley Davidson Sportster before Jake from Ultra Violence turned it into something more unique, The Good Son. Check out more of Jake's work on his site, Jakeultraviolence.

I went to the Transam event at Park City Saturday with Sam. I shot practice and then brought out the flashes when the sun set behind the mountain. I tried using them at the Wyoming rail, but only 1 of 4 pocket wizards were working. Someone suggested putting hand warmers on them to keep the batteries from getting too cold. I tried this that night while shooting the jam and they seemed to work fine (though it wasn't nearly as cold).

Check out the rest of the shots in the Park City Transam gallery.

The Canyons

One morning, I went up to The Canyons Resort in Park City to shoot with a friend of a friend, Lori Stromness. I shot with her in the trees in the morning, and then shot the end of bordercross practice in the afternoon. To get the first photo (of Lori), I climbed like 25 feet up an aspen tree that had some sketchy branches. I think that was the first time I climbed a tree with snowboard boots.
