I'm a commercial sports and lifestyle photographer in Southern California based in Santa Barbara. As a mountain biker, skateboarder and snowboarder without what it takes to make it to the top, I photographs professional athletes aiming for it, capturing what they do best. I've always been into individual, "action" sports. I started skateboarding & mountain biking at eight, and snowboarding at ten. I travel to downhill mountain bike races to photograph professional riders, while often competing as an ameteur myself. I started drawing and painting at a young age, but photography has become my favorite form of art. My passion for photography was most likely sparked when I saw my grandfather shooting landscapes on the coast above San Luis Obispo at very young age. When I was eight, I took my parent's 35mm slr hiking in the hills in by my house when I lived in Los Angeles. I came back with it back covered in dust. Looking back on it, I can’t imagine that I had any idea how to actually use it. Over time, I shot what what I did with friends, which was often riding bikes. I started with disposables and now primarily shoot with digital slr's. When I got into racing mountain bikes, I really got into photographing sports. I love traveling; seeing new places and making new friends. I try to go to as many races and places as I can to ride and shoot, while finishing school at Santa Barbara City College.
